Introduction To Thai Massage Techniques (6 CE Hours)

Have you had an interest in Thai Massage and want to see what it is all about? This is a hands on Introduction to the basic pressure and hand techniques that we utilize during any Thai Massage Session. It will give you a great foundation of pressure and hand and body movements to help you when you continue with Thai Massage Training. If you decide Thai Massage is not for you, this introduction will provide new ways of utilizing body weight and dynamic pressure in your already existing practice. This is an experiential and fun class. Can't wait to see you there!

Thai Massage Level 1 Session Basics

DAY 1: INTRO, SCOPE, GOALS, DEMONSTRATIONS, TECHNIQUES, BEGINNING FEET

DAY 2: FRONT POSITION-FEET, LEG LINES, WORKING THE LEGS AND HIPS

DAY 3: FRONT POSITION-HIPS, BACK, INVERSIONS,

DAY 4: FRONT POSITION: UPPER BODY, HARA,

DAY 5: CHEST, ARMS,HEAD FACE
DAY 6 FULL BODY REVIEW

             The Thai Massage Level 1 63 movements Front Position course is designed to provide many hours of hands on practice for the student. It provides a complete protocol to effectively perform a Thai Massage Session .
    Course includes History of Thai Massage, Self Care and Stretching techniques, Thai basic hand and pressure techniques, Benefits and Contraindications, Anatomy and body mechanics specific to Thai Massage.
    The main body of the course is 63 movements and how to perform them and the transitioning of the clients body and the practitioners body. Explaining the compression pressure, hand technique, vector and direction of stretching, and how to modify techniques to best utilize the practitioners body weight and leverage. Modifications will be noted in order to help the student perform the massage if either they or the client have physical limitations.
    The course will be taught utilizing verbal discussion, hand outs, verbal cuing, visual cuing, self-practice and one on one individual practice with the instructor. Handouts and study guides will be provided at the class.
    The students will have the knowledge about and have practiced a 1.5-2.0 hour Thai Massage Session with the client in a supine position.

Thai Massage Level 2  Side Back and Seated Sessions

          The Thai Massage Level 52 movement s Side Back and Seated Session course is designed to provide many hours of hands on practice for the student. It provides a complete protocol to effectively perform a Thai Massage Session with the client in Side Back or Seated Receiving Position. Approximately 2 full hours of session protocol will be addressed.
    Course includes Lineage of Thai Massage, Self Care and Stretching techniques, hand and pressure techniques, Benefits and Contraindications, Western and Eastern Anatomy and body mechanics specific to Thai Massage. Many Modifications and changes are offered to support the client and practitioner for safely performing this Massage.
    The main body of the course is 52 movements and how to perform them . The transitioning of the clients body and the practitioners body for optimum practice. Explaining the compression pressure, hand technique, vector and direction of stretching, and how to modify techniques to best utilize the practitioners body weight and leverage. Modifications will be noted in order to help the student perform the massage if either they or the client have physical limitations.
    The course will be taught utilizing lecture, verbal discussion, hand outs, verbal cuing, visual cuing, self-practice and one on one individual practice with the instructor.
Handouts and study guides will be provided at the class.
    The students will have the knowledge about and have practiced a 2.0 hour Thai Massage Session with the client in a side back or seated receiving  position.
